The Cody Events Committee runs the Horsin' Around Cody, Halloween and Cody Cowboy Christmas annual holiday related events.  Details are always posted to the events calendar.  Find parade applications, and if applicable, flyers and posters here!

Cody Cowboy Christmas

This traditional event takes place the weekend after Thanksgiving (and coincides with Small Business Saturday).  On Saturday Sheridan Avenue shuts down in the late afternoon/evening for downtown events and the lighted Christmas parade at 6pm, sponsored by area businesses and organizations.  The parade will start at 6pm!

Applications are now open for the parade. Please download and fill in this PDF file. Return completed copies to the Cody Chamber at 836 Sheridan Avenue by 5pm, Monday November 25, 2024. Late entries cannot be considered!

Chamber offices and our visitor center are closed on the 28th through 1st for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Cost to enter a parade float is $10. Entries must be lighted in some way. Please no blatant commercial advertising, as this is a celebration of Christmas. On Saturday, November 30 please arrive NO LATER than 5:30 p.m. to the Cody Chamber parking lot to receive your line-up number. The parade will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will move East on Sheridan Avenue between 9th Street to 14th Street.

Trick or Treat!  With rare exceptions (when this holiday takes place on a Sunday), this event always takes place on October 31.  Sheridan Avenue is closed down to ensure the safety of all for this annual event. Please donate candy or money to help this be a great time for all the kids!  Donations can be dropped off at either Big Horn Radio Network (1949 Mountain View Drive) or the Cody Chamber (836 Sheridan Avenue).
