Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale
The Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale (BBAS) is a premier Western art show held each September. A week of artful events culminates in a Live Western Art Auction featuring more than 100 of the great contemporary Western artists.
Influenced by the location and history of Cody, Wyoming and inspired by the American West, the Buffalo Bill Art Show strives to support established and emerging Western artists, engage patrons of the arts, enliven the community with events that provide a nationally renowned western art show, education and entertainment benefiting the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, Cody Country Chamber of Commerce and arts organizations.
The 43rd-Annual Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale will take place September 16-21, 2024.

Live & Silent Auction Exhibition - September 2024
Visit the John Bunker Sands Gallery in the Buffalo Bill Center of the West for the 43rd-Annual Live and Silent Auction Exhibitions! These exhibitions hang in the John Bunker Sands Gallery for viewing until the evening of the auction. Additionally, visitors can cast their votes for the People's Choice award. Open to the public. Free.
Annual Art Walk - Thursday, September 19
Join us for an evening on the town at our Annual Art Walk! Browse downtown Cody's unique galleries and shops featuring artist demonstrations, music, special activities and experiences. Open to the public. Free.
43rd-Annual Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale - Live Auction - Friday, September 20, 2024 - 5-10pm
This event will feature an in-person Live Auction led by Black and Associates. Attendance is extremely limited, so guests must register in advance. Buyers can bid in person or by completing our absentee/phone bidding form. Registration required, $250 per person, $2000 per table (seats 8).
Quick Draw - Saturday, September 21, 2024 - 9am-1pm
Don't miss the starting gun! During the ever-popular Quick Draw event, you'll watch 30 BBAS Artists create a work of art in only 90 minutes! Registration required, $65 adults, $20 13-18 years old, 12 and under free.
Volunteer With Us!
We assemble a small army of volunteers every year in order to run a professional art show. Consequently, we are always looking for help for all our events including the Live Auction & Sale and the Quick Draw. We need help in areas ranging from art movers to checkout cashiers. Download and fill out this PDF and then return it to the Chamber at 836 Sheridan Avenue or email to bbas@codychamber.org. Many BBAS volunteers are new to Cody and find friends and connections as a result of volunteering.
Immerse Yourself In The Arts!
The Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale is a one-of-a-kind Western art sale. The show offers diverse works relating to the land, people and wildlife of the American West. Artists offer a broad range of stylistic interpretations of the West in original oil and acrylic, watercolor, pastel, sculpture, and mixed media.
Because more than half of the artists represented actually attend the events, you have a chance to meet your favorite artists!
Rendezvous Royale is an annual celebration of the arts held in late September in beautiful Cody, Wyoming. Rendezvous Royale consists of the Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale, By Western Hands, and the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. For nearly two decades, these prestigious partners have collaborated to host elegant events for patrons of the arts. Join us for workshops, lectures, painting classes, studio tours, and more!
The success of this project is made possible by dedicated staff at the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce and the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, as well as a hard working volunteer committee.
