Press Release: Summer Blowout Live After 5 at Cody Visitor Center
Network, Connect, and Enjoy an Evening of Fun!
Cody, WY – The Cody Country Chamber of Commerce invites you to a special Summer Blowout edition of "Live After Five" on Tuesday, August 13th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cody Visitor Center, located at 836 Sheridan Avenue. This event is a prime opportunity for local professionals and community members to connect, network, and celebrate the season together.
As a cornerstone of Cody’s hospitality and other industries, the Visitor Center greets over 100,000 guests annually. During the event, attendees can tour the facility to see firsthand how it serves as a vital resource for visitors to our community and to the Chamber Members represented there.
In addition to networking, the evening will feature interactive 15-minute "Quick Draw Poetry" sessions with local artist Evan Wambeke, where you can watch Evan turn your ideas into cowboy poetry and perform them live. Evan has nearly a decade of experience working in the Visitor Center, performs as Buffalo Bill in the “Wild West Spectacular” at the historic Cody Theatre, and recently completed an artist-in-residence stay at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West.
Enjoy a mouth-watering taco bar provided by Zapata's, along with refreshing drinks and cornhole. Whether you're interested in making new connections or simply enjoying a summer evening, this event has something for everyone.
“We're excited to host a fun Live After Five event that brings our business community together and shows off our Visitor Center," said Jennifer Thoma, Executive Director of the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce. "This is a chance to relax, network, and strengthen the bonds that make our community thrive.”
No RSVP is required—bring your colleagues or family and join us for an evening of connection, creativity, and summer fun.
