VISITOR SERVICES MANAGER CODY COUNTRY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OVERVIEW
 
The Visitor Center Manager is a full-time, year-round position that is responsible for creating an exemplary customer experience for visitors and potential visitors to the Cody area; focus on overall satisfaction and need fulfillment.

Duties include but are not limited to overseeing the daily operations of the Visitor Center, Visitor Services, and the coordination of Visitor Events.  The Visitor Services Manager is also responsible for the hiring, training and managing of the seasonal staff of the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center. This position also requires attention to detail to ensure that every visitor inquiry is handled to 100% satisfaction.
 
The Visitor Center Manager is supervised by the Executive Director of the Chamber and is otherwise employed under the guidelines set forth in the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce Employee Handbook. This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities and duties.  The Visitor Center Manager may be required to perform other functions as directed by the Executive Director of the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce.
 
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY AND TASKS
 
Visitor Center
Directly hire, train, coach, and supervise summer seasonal staff and volunteers including training and shift scheduling to ensure exemplary customer service is provided to each visitor.
Areas of Oversight
Ensure response to all visitor information inquiries
Ensure that all mail inquiry reports are distributed twice monthly to Chamber subscribers
Ensure the coordination of convention packets preparations and keep records of each request
Ensure the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce is represented at convention planning events as appropriate 

Coordination of Visitor Events-Including but not limited to:
Coordination Assistance for the Spring Into Yellowstone Festival - duties may include
Primary Contact and Coordinator for Color Dash/Color 5K
Coordination Assistance and Visitor Center Presence for the Wild West Extravaganza
Assist With the Buffalo Bill Art Show and Sale


EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Required:
Demonstrable strong knowledge of Cody Country’s businesses/attractions/activities and knowledge of Yellowstone National Park and the Big Horn Basin
Proven experience handling financial transactions
Demonstrable experience providing strong customer service and communication skills  
Ability to hire, train and manage summer seasonal staff
Ability to resolve conflicts
Comfortable with Microsoft Office, websites, and social media tools such as Facebook and Twitter
Ability to work with Executive Director on developing new marketing opportunities for members
Must be able to physically stand for long periods of time, negotiate stairs and lift and carry boxes up to 50 lbs.Preferred:
AA/BA/BS in business, marketing, public relations or communications  
Previous sales and/or marketing experience
Previous Chamber of Commerce experience   
Employment at the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce is at will for both the employer and employee.

This is a part time position with the possibility of increasing hours based upon other abilities.
Primarily we need someone to feed, water, and administer medications to pets being boarded in our facility. Training is provided.
This position also includes cleaning kennel as well as other office cleaning responsibilities.
The basic shift is three hours in length, but if more responsibilities are add, the shifts could be longers.
Initially the shifts would be either 6a.m. - 9a.m. and/or 3p.m. - 6p.m.

All Kennel Assistants rotate and work some weekend shifts.
